What is Innovation Thursday and its goals

• Innovation Thursday is a new platform for meeting and sharing information and experience with the focus on innovations in business and their more efficient application,
• the project goal is to demonstrate the importance of innovations and their impact on economic development and priorities of the state and citizens, with specific cases of innovative start-ups, SME as well as corporations and academic teams and projects
•  enabling meeting and sharing of experience among innovators, investors and policy makers and supporting them in the implementation of ideas and launching of products
• the project is organized by TUESDAY Business Network and the Technology Centre of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, in cooperation with partners

For Whom

• Innovators - starting (inventors) and advanced (SMEs and corporations) from any stage of innovation process,
• Investors - financiers interested in funding innovations, venture capital, business angels, incubators etc.,
• Policy makers – politicians, governmental clerks, academic officials, the representatives of associations, institutes etc.,
• Others – consultants, media and others.

Innovation Thursday in 2008

• Innovation Thursday meetings – will take place 5 times a year; important innovators or enthusiasts from the Czech Republic as well as from abroad will be invited to the meetings; the first meeting will take place in January 2008,
• Club of Innovators – it will originate from the Innovation Thursday meetings and other related activities as an informal association of inventors and innovative businesspersons,
• Case studies and white papers – we will regularly publish case studies describing successful transfers of innovations in practice; white papers will be published in cooperation with partners,
• Thought Starter study – within the first year of Innovation Thursday, a comparative study of the current situation of innovation environment in the Czech Republic will be processed,
• Thought Leadership Forum „Czech Republic: Fit for Innovation?“ – in autumn 2008, the one-day think-tank Thought Leadership Forum will take place; a closed group of invited experts will seek answers to innovation-related questions

• State and innovations (support, framework, the social and economic influence of innovations)
• How to fund innovations (the resources of innovation funding in all stages of development)
